तदनन्तर, आकाश के गुण भूतादि द्वारा ग्रसित हो जाते हैं। इसी भूतादि में जब पंचभूत और इन्द्रियाँ एक साथ मिल जाते हैं, तब वह तामसिक (तम-प्रधान) कहलाती है और केवल अहंकार ही शेष रह जाती है। तब यह भूतादि भी [सत्त्व-प्रधान होने से] बुद्धिरूपी महातत्त्व द्वारा ग्रसित हो जाती है। 27-28॥
Subsequently, the qualities of the sky are captured by Bhootadi. In this Bhutadmi itself, when the Panchabhuta and the senses are combined together, it is called Tamasic (Tama-dominant) and remains only egoistic. Then this Bhutadi too [being sattva-dominant] gets engulfed by the Mahatattva in the form of intellect. 27-28॥
