निश्श्रीकता न मे चित्रं यज्जीवामि तदद्भुतम्।
नीचावमानपङ्काङ्की निर्लज्जोऽस्मि पितामह॥ ५३॥
अनुवाद
ऐसी स्थिति में यदि मैं अपना वैभव खो बैठा हूँ तो इसमें कोई आश्चर्य नहीं; हे पितामह! आश्चर्य तो यह है कि नीच मनुष्यों के हाथों अपमान के कीचड़ में लिपटा हुआ भी मैं अब तक निर्लज्जता से जीवित हूँ ॥ 53॥
In such a situation it is not surprising that I have lost my glory; O Grandfather! The surprising thing is that despite being covered in the mire of insults at the hands of vile men I am still alive without any shame. ॥ 53॥
