| इन धन्वन्तरि का शरीर और इन्द्रियाँ बुढ़ापे आदि दोषों से रहित थीं और ये सभी जन्मों में सम्पूर्ण शास्त्रों के ज्ञाता थे। पूर्वजन्म में भगवान नारायण ने इन्हें यह वरदान दिया था कि काशीराज के वंश में उत्पन्न होकर तुम सम्पूर्ण आयुर्वेद को आठ भागों में विभाजित करोगे और यज्ञ भाग के भोक्ता बनोगे॥9-10॥ |
