वही कार्तवीर्य जो अपने समस्त शत्रुओं का संहार करता था, सम्पूर्ण द्वीपों को अपने अधीन करके उनका उपभोग करता था, आज कथा सुनाने पर विपरीत विचारों और संशय का कारण बन जाता है [अर्थात् कथा सुनाते समय संदेह होता है कि वास्तव में ऐसा हुआ था या नहीं]॥146॥
The same Kartavirya who used to kill all his enemies, subjugate all the islands and enjoy them, today when narrated in a story, becomes the cause of opposite thoughts and doubts [i.e. while narrating it, there is a doubt whether it actually happened or not].॥146॥
