विधिपूर्वक स्नान कराकर पुष्पमालाओं से सुसज्जित शव को गांव के बाहर दाह संस्कार करना चाहिए और फिर वस्त्रों सहित तालाब में स्नान कराकर दक्षिणाभिमुख होकर 'यत्रतात्रस्थितयात्दमुकाय'* आदि मंत्रों का उच्चारण करते हुए स्वजनों को दाह संस्कार करना चाहिए ॥8-9॥
After taking a proper bath, the dead body decorated with garlands should be cremated outside the village and then after bathing in the pond along with the clothes, facing south and reciting the words 'Yatratatrasthitayayatdamukay' * etc., the relatives should perform the funeral procession. 8-9॥
