हिरण्यकशिपु ने कहा - "हे दैत्यों! तुम सब लोग अपने संकीर्ण दाँतों को जोड़कर इस बालक को मार डालो, जिसे मेरा शत्रु मुझसे दूर ले गया है। देखो, जैसे अग्नि-कलंक से उत्पन्न अग्नि उसी को जला देती है, उसी प्रकार कुछ लोग जिससे उत्पन्न होते हैं, उसी का नाश करने वाले हो जाते हैं।" ॥41॥
Hiranyakshipu said, "O giants! All of you, put your narrow teeth together and kill this boy who has been [lured] away from me by my enemy. See, just as the fire born from the fire-stain burns the same, similarly some become the destroyers of the one from whom they are born." ॥ 41॥
