सोम ने कहा - [हे राजकुमारों! वह मंत्र इस प्रकार है -] 'भगवान विष्णु संसार रूपी मार्ग के अंतिम पड़ाव हैं, उन तक पहुँचना कठिन है, वे परलोक (आकाश आदि) से परे हैं अर्थात् अनंत हैं, अतः वे सत्यस्वरूप हैं। केवल तपस्वी महात्मा ही उन्हें प्राप्त कर सकते हैं, क्योंकि वे परलोक (अनात्म-जगत) से परे हैं और परलोक (इन्द्रियों) से अदृश्य रहने वाले परम पुरुष हैं तथा भक्तों के रक्षक और उनकी कामनाओं को पूर्ण करने वाले हैं।'
Som said - [O princes! That mantra is as follows -] 'Lord Vishnu is the final stage of the path of the world, it is difficult to reach him, he is beyond the other (sky etc.) i.e. he is infinite, hence he is the embodiment of truth. Only those great souls who are devoted to penance can attain him, because he is beyond the other (non-self-world) and is the Supreme Being invisible to the other (senses) and is the protector of the devotees and the fulfiller of their desires.
