उस समय माया की रचना हुई उसकी माता सुनीति आँखों में आँसू भरकर उसके सामने प्रकट हुई और करुण स्वर में बोली - 'हे पुत्र! हे पुत्र!' [उसने कहा] - पुत्र! शरीर को नष्ट करने वाले इस घोर तप का हठ छोड़ दे। मैंने तुझे बड़ी कामनाओं से प्राप्त किया है॥ 14-15॥
At that time his mother Suniti, a creation of Maya, appeared before him with tears in her eyes and spoke compassionately, saying, 'O son! O son!' [She said] - Son! Give up your insistence on this terrible penance which destroys the body. I have obtained you by great desires.॥ 14-15॥
