तस्मिन् गीते तु विज्ञाय सीतापुत्रौ कुशीलवौ।
तस्या: परिषदो मध्ये रामो वचनमब्रवीत्॥ २॥
दूतान् शुद्धसमाचारानाहूयात्ममनीषया।
मद् वचो ब्रूत गच्छध्वमितो भगवतोऽन्तिके॥ ३॥ |

| उस कथा से ही उन्हें ज्ञात हुआ कि कुश और लव दोनों ही सीता के पुत्र हैं। यह जानकर श्री राम ने सभा के मध्य में बैठकर शुद्ध आचरण और विचार वाले दूतों को बुलाया और मन से विचार करके कहा, 'तुम सब लोग यहाँ से भगवान वाल्मीकि के पास जाओ और उनसे मेरा यह संदेश कह दो॥ 2-3॥ |
