स राज्यं तादृशं भुङ्क्ते स्फीतमद्भुतदर्शनम्॥ ८॥

महात्मा वृत्रासुर के राज्यकाल में यह भूमि बिना हल चलाए ही अन्न उपजाती थी, तथा धन-धान्य से परिपूर्ण थी। इस प्रकार वह राक्षस एक समृद्ध एवं अद्भुत राज्य का उपभोग करता था। 8॥
In the reign of Mahatma Vritrasura, this land used to produce food without any ploughing, and was well endowed with wealth and grains. In this way that demon enjoyed a prosperous and wonderful kingdom. 8॥
