स तु तौ राक्षसौ दृष्ट्वा निर्मृगं च वनं कृतम्।
क्रोधेन महताविष्टो जघानैकं महेषुणा॥ १३॥

सौदास ने उन दोनों राक्षसों को देखा। उन्होंने उस वन की भी दशा देखी, जो हिरणों से रहित था। इससे वह अत्यन्त क्रोधित हो उठा और उसने एक विशाल बाण से उनमें से एक राक्षस को मार डाला॥13॥
‘Saudas saw those two demons. He also saw the condition of the forest which was devoid of deer by them. This filled him with great anger and he killed one of them with a huge arrow.॥ 13॥
