अतो हृष्टजनाकीर्णां प्रस्थाप्य महतीं चमूम्।
एक एव धनुष्पाणिर्गच्छ त्वं मधुनो वनम्॥ ७॥
यथा त्वां न प्रजानाति गच्छन्तं युद्धकाङ्क्षिणम्।
लवणस्तु मधो: पुत्रस्तथा गच्छेरशङ्कितम्॥ ८॥ |

| अतः तुम इस विशाल सेना को आगे भेजकर, केवल धनुष लेकर पीछे से मधुवन में जाओ और इस प्रकार यात्रा करो कि मधुपुत्र लवण को यह संदेह न हो कि तुम युद्ध करने के इरादे से वहाँ जा रहे हो, और तुम्हारी गतिविधियों का उसे पता भी न चले॥ 7-8॥ |
