फिर उसने भीगे हुए वस्त्र उतारकर श्वेत वस्त्र धारण कर लिए। इसके बाद वह हाथ जोड़कर महादेवजी की आराधना करने चला गया। उस समय अन्य सभी राक्षस भी उसके पीछे-पीछे चल पड़े, मानो उसके चलने से साकार पर्वत खिंचे जा रहे हों। ॥40-41॥
‘Then he took off his wet clothes and wore white clothes. After this he went to worship Mahadevji with folded hands. At that time all the other demons also followed him, as if the mountains incarnate in form were being pulled by his movement. ॥ 40-41॥
