यह महाकाव्य आयु और सौभाग्य को बढ़ाने वाला तथा पापों का नाश करने वाला है। रामायण वेदों के समान है। विद्वान व्यक्ति को श्राद्ध के समय इसका पाठ करना चाहिए।॥4॥
This epic poem increases age and good fortune and destroys sins. Ramayana is equal to the Vedas. A learned person should recite it during Shraddha ceremonies.॥ 4॥
