ब्रह्माजी के पुत्र वीर जाम्बवान् एक तो स्वभावतः ही वृद्धावस्था से पीड़ित थे और दूसरे उनके शरीर में सैकड़ों बाण लगे हुए थे; अतएव वे बुझती हुई अग्नि के समान मंद दिखाई दे रहे थे। उन्हें देखकर विभीषण तुरंत उनके पास गए और बोले - 'आर्य! क्या इन तीक्ष्ण बाणों के प्रहार से आपकी मृत्यु नहीं हुई?' 14-15॥
Brahmaji's son, brave Jambavan was naturally suffering from old age and secondly, there were hundreds of arrows stuck in his body; Therefore, he looked as dull as a dying fire. Seeing him, Vibhishan immediately went to him and said – 'Arya! Didn't you die due to the attack of these sharp arrows?' 14-15॥
