कुम्भकर्ण! तुम्हें भाले और गदा लिए सैनिकों से घिरे हुए युद्ध के लिए प्रस्थान करना चाहिए, क्योंकि महामनस्वी वानर बड़े वीर और अत्यन्त परिश्रमी होते हैं। यदि वे तुम्हें अकेला या असावधान देखेंगे, तो वे तुम्हें दाँतों से काटकर नष्ट कर देंगे; इसलिए तुम सेना से घिरे हुए और सब ओर से सुरक्षित होकर यहाँ से चले जाओ। ऐसी स्थिति में शत्रुओं के लिए तुम्हें पराजित करना बहुत कठिन होगा। तुम्हें राक्षसों को हानि पहुँचाने वाली समस्त शत्रु सेनाओं का संहार करना चाहिए।
