गधों द्वारा जुते हुए तथा गधों की ध्वनि करते हुए उस उत्तम रथ पर बैठकर अत्यन्त भयंकर दिखने वाला राक्षस धूम्राक्ष युद्ध के लिए जा रहा था। आकाश में उड़ने वाले क्रूर पक्षी अशुभ वचन बोलकर उसे आगे बढ़ने से रोक रहे थे।
