कथं नु खल्वद्य भवेत् सुखागतं
प्रसह्य युद्धं मम राक्षसै: सह।
तथैव खल्वात्मबलं च सारवत्
समानयेन्मां च रणे दशानन:॥ ८॥
अनुवाद
‘किन्तु आज मेरा यहाँ आना किस प्रकार सुखद या शुभ फल देने वाला होगा? मुझे राक्षसों के साथ अचानक युद्ध करने का अवसर कैसे मिलेगा? तथा दस सिर वाला रावण युद्ध में अपनी सेना और मुझे तुलनात्मक रूप से देखकर यह कैसे जान सकेगा कि कौन अधिक बलवान है?॥8॥
‘But how will my coming here today be the cause of pleasant or auspicious results? How will I get the opportunity to suddenly fight with the demons? And how will the ten-headed Ravana be able to understand who is stronger by looking at his army and me comparatively in the battle?॥ 8॥
