अनुवाद
उस विशाल वन की भूमि, जो दशमुख रावण की स्त्रियों की रक्षा और अन्तःपुर के मनोरंजन के लिए प्रयुक्त होती थी तथा जहाँ चंचल अशोक लताओं के समूह शोभायमान रहते थे, वानररूपी हनुमान के बल प्रयोग के कारण धन-धान्य से रहित हो गई और दयनीय लताओं से आच्छादित हो गई (उसकी दीन दशा देखकर देखने वालों को दुःख हुआ)।
The land of that vast forest, which was used to protect the women of Dashamukh Ravana and for the recreation of the inner palace and where groups of playful Ashoka creepers used to adorn it, became devoid of wealth due to the use of force by the monkey-like Hanuman and became covered with pitiable creepers (seeing its poor condition the onlookers felt sad).
