महाकपि हनुमान ने देखा कि राक्षसराज रावण की लंका नगरी वस्त्राभूषणों से सुसज्जित एक सुन्दर युवती के समान प्रतीत हो रही है। रत्नजटित प्राचीर उसके वस्त्र हैं, गौशाला तथा अन्य भवन उसके आभूषण हैं। प्राचीर पर स्थापित यन्त्रों के गृह उस लंकारूपी युवती के स्तनों के समान हैं। वह सब प्रकार की समृद्धि से परिपूर्ण है। उज्ज्वल द्वीपों और महान ग्रहों ने यहाँ के अंधकार को नष्ट कर दिया है॥18-19॥
The great ape Hanuman saw that the city of demon king Ravana, Lanka, looks like a beautiful young woman adorned with clothes and ornaments. The gemstone ramparts are its clothes, the cowshed and other buildings are its ornaments. The houses of the machines installed on the ramparts are like the breasts of this young woman in the form of Lanka. It is full of all kinds of prosperity. The bright islands and the great planets have destroyed the darkness here.॥18-19॥
