'अब थोड़े ही समय में यह लंकापुरी श्मशान के समान हो जाएगी। यहाँ की सड़कों पर चिताओं का धुआँ फैल जाएगा और गिद्धों के झुंड इस भूमि की शोभा बढ़ाएँगे।॥ 24॥
‘Now in a short time this Lankapuri will become like a cremation ground. The smoke of the pyre will be spreading on the roads here and flocks of vultures will be adding to the beauty of this land.॥ 24॥
