न च दिग् ज्ञायते याम्या न चाग्नेयी न वारुणी।
युगान्ते नियतो लोको हतो दग्ध इवाग्निना॥ ११॥
अनुवाद
उस समय न दक्षिण दिशा का ज्ञान था, न अग्निकोण का और न पश्चिम दिशा आदि का। यद्यपि यह जगत् नियमित रूप से स्थित था, तथापि उस समय यह नष्टप्राय सा प्रतीत होता था मानो अंत समय में अग्नि से जल गया हो ॥11॥
At that time there was no knowledge of the south direction, nor of the angle of fire or the west etc. Although this world was situated regularly, yet at that time it appeared almost destroyed as if it had been burnt by fire in the end times. 11॥
