अवृक्षं कामशैलं च मानसं विहगालयम्।
न गतिस्तत्र भूतानां देवानां न च रक्षसाम्॥ २८॥ |

| वहाँ से आगे मानस नामक एक शिखर है जो वृक्षों से रहित है। खाली होने के कारण पक्षी भी वहाँ नहीं जाते। कामदेव की तपस्या स्थली होने के कारण वह क्रौंच शिखर कामशैल नाम से प्रसिद्ध है। भूत, देवता और राक्षस भी वहाँ कभी नहीं जाते॥ 28॥ |

| ‘From there onwards there is a peak called Manas which is devoid of trees. Because it is empty, even birds never go there. Because it is the place where Kamadeva did penance, that peak of Krauncha is famous by the name of Kaamshail. Even ghosts, gods and demons never go there.॥ 28॥ |
