देशं कथमिमं प्राप्तौ भवन्तौ वरवर्णिनौ।
त्रासयन्तौ मृगगणानन्यांश्च वनचारिण:॥ ६॥
पम्पातीररुहान् वृक्षान् वीक्षमाणौ समन्तत:।
इमां नदीं शुभजलां शोभयन्तौ तरस्विनौ॥ ७॥
धैर्यवन्तौ सुवर्णाभौ कौ युवां चीरवाससौ।
नि:श्वसन्तौ वरभुजौ पीडयन्ताविमा: प्रजा:॥ ८॥ |

| ‘तुम्हारे शरीर की कांति बड़ी सुन्दर है। तुम दोनों इस वन में किसलिए आए हो? वन में विचरण करने वाले मृगों आदि पशुओं के झुण्डों को भयभीत करने वाले, पंपासरोवर के तट पर वृक्षों को सब ओर से देखने वाले और इस नदीरूपी पंपा को सुन्दर जल से सुशोभित करने वाले तुम दोनों वीर योद्धा कौन हो? तुम्हारे अंगों की कांति सुवर्ण के समान चमक रही है। तुम दोनों बड़े धैर्यवान प्रतीत होते हो। फटे हुए वस्त्र तुम दोनों अंगों पर शोभायमान हैं। तुम दोनों गहरी साँसें ले रहे हो। तुम्हारी भुजाएँ विशाल हैं। तुम अपने प्रभाव से इस वन के पशुओं को सता रहे हो। कहो, तुम्हारा परिचय क्या है?॥6-8॥ |
