कार्यकारणसिद्धार्थावुभौ तौ नावसीदत:॥ ६१॥ | | | | | | अनुवाद | | जो दण्ड पानेवाले को दण्ड देता है और जो दण्ड का अधिकारी होकर दण्ड भोगता है, उनमें से जो दण्ड पानेवाला है वह अपने अपराध के फलस्वरूप शासक द्वारा दिए गए दण्ड को भोगकर दण्ड पानेवाला है और जो शासक उस फल के भोगने का कारण और निमित्त बनकर उसे दण्ड देता है, वे अपने-अपने कर्तव्यकर्मों को पूरा करके कृतकृत्य होकर कर्मऋण से मुक्त हो जाते हैं, इसलिए वे दुःखी नहीं होते॥ 61॥ | | | | ‘The one who punishes the person who is to be punished and the one who, being the one who is entitled to punishment, suffers the punishment, out of them the person who is to be punished by suffering the punishment given by the ruler as a result of his crime and the ruler who punishes him by becoming the cause and instrument in the suffering of that result, are fulfilled and get freed from the debt of karma by fulfilling their respective duties.
