| देवता, गंधर्व, भूत-प्रेत और महर्षि भी उसे पराजित नहीं कर पा रहे थे। युद्धभूमि में वह मुँह खोले खड़े यमराज के समान भयंकर लग रहा था। देवताओं और दानवों के युद्ध में उसके शरीर पर वज्र और अग्नि के घावों के निशान अभी भी विद्यमान थे। उसकी छाती में गड़े हुए ऐरावत हाथी के दाँतों के निशान अभी भी दिखाई दे रहे थे। |
