लक्ष्मण द्वारा विकृत हुई शूर्पणखा वहाँ से भागकर अपने भाई खर के पास गई, जो जनस्थान निवासी था और भयंकर तेज वाला था तथा राक्षसों के समूह से घिरा हुआ था। और जैसे आकाश से बिजली कौंधती है, उसी प्रकार वह पृथ्वी पर गिर पड़ी।
Surpanakha, disfigured by Lakshmana, fled from there and went to her brother Khar, a resident of Janasthan who was of terrifying brilliance and was surrounded by a group of demons. And just as lightning strikes from the sky, in the same manner she fell on the earth.
