इस ऋतु में अत्यधिक शीत या पाला पड़ने से लोगों के शरीर सूख जाते हैं। पृथ्वी पर रबी की फसलें उगने लगती हैं। जल अधिक शीत होने के कारण पीने योग्य नहीं रहता और अग्नि अत्यंत सुखदायक लगती है।॥5॥
