अनेन धनुषा राम हत्वा संख्ये महासुरान्।
आजहार श्रियं दीप्तां पुरा विष्णुर्दिवौकसाम्॥ ३५॥
तद्धनुस्तौ च तूणी च शरं खड्गं च मानद।
जयाय प्रतिगृह्णीष्व वज्रं वज्रधरो यथा॥ ३६॥ |

| ‘श्रीराम! पूर्वकाल में भगवान विष्णु ने इसी धनुष से अनेक महान दैत्यों का वध किया था और देवताओं की प्रज्वलित लक्ष्मी को उनके अधिकार में लौटाया था। हे प्रभु! आप (दैत्यों पर) विजय प्राप्त करने के लिए इस धनुष, इन दोनों तरकस, इन बाणों और इस तलवार को स्वीकार करें। जैसे वज्रधारी इन्द्र वज्र को स्वीकार करते हैं।’॥35-36॥ |

| ‘Shri Ram! In the past, Lord Vishnu had killed many great demons with this very bow and had restored the ignited Lakshmi of the gods to their rights. O Lord! You should accept this bow, these two quivers, these arrows and this sword to gain victory (over the demons). Just like the thunderbolt-wielding Indra accepts the thunderbolt.'॥ 35-36॥ |
