'जिन पुण्यात्मा महर्षि अगस्त्य ने समस्त लोकों के कल्याण की कामना से मृत्युरूपी दैत्यों का शीघ्रतापूर्वक दमन करके इस दक्षिण दिशा को शरण लेने के योग्य बनाया तथा जिनके प्रभाव से दैत्य इस दक्षिण दिशा को दूर से ही भयभीत होकर देखते हैं और उसका सेवन भी नहीं करते, यह उन्हीं का आश्रम है ॥81-82॥
'The virtuous Maharishi Agastya, who, with the welfare of all the worlds, by swiftly suppressing the demons in the form of death, made this south direction suitable for taking refuge and due to whose influence the demons only look at this south direction with fear from a distance and do not even consume it, this is his ashram. 81-82॥
