अयोध्यायां बले कोशे मित्रेष्वपि च मन्त्रिषु।
जानन् दशरथं वृत्तं न राजानमुदाहरत्॥ ७॥

इसके बाद उन्होंने अयोध्या, सेना, कोष, मित्रों और मंत्रिमंडल का हाल पूछा। वे राजा दशरथ की मृत्यु का वृत्तांत जानते थे; इसलिए उन्होंने उनके विषय में कुछ नहीं पूछा॥7॥
After this he asked about the condition of Ayodhya, army, treasury, friends and cabinet. He knew the story of King Dasharatha's death; That's why he didn't ask anything about them. 7॥
