अहं हि नैवास्तरणानि न स्रजो
न चन्दनं नाञ्जनपानभोजनम्।
न किंचिदिच्छामि न चेह जीवनं
न चेदितो गच्छति राघवो वनम्॥ ६४॥
अनुवाद
यदि राम यहाँ से वन को न जाएँ, तो मुझे न तो नाना प्रकार की शय्याएँ चाहिए, न पुष्पमालाएँ, न चन्दन, न नेत्रों का लेप, न पान, न अन्न, न अन्य कोई वस्तु चाहिए। ऐसी स्थिति में तो मैं यहाँ यह जीवन भी नहीं रखना चाहूँगा॥ 64॥
'If Rama does not go to the forest from here, then I will neither want different kinds of beds, nor garlands of flowers, nor sandalwood, nor eye ointment, nor betel, nor food, nor any other thing. In that condition, I will not even want to keep this life here.'॥ 64॥
