'दैत्यराज शम्बर जिन सहस्रों मोहों को जानता है, वे सब आपके हृदय में स्थित हैं; इनके अतिरिक्त आप सहस्रों अन्य मोहों को भी जानते हैं। इन मोहों का समूह आपका यह विशाल कूबड़ है, जो रथ की नाक (अग्रभाग) के समान बड़ा है। इसमें आपकी बुद्धि, स्मृति, बुद्धि, क्षात्र विद्या (राजनीति) तथा नाना प्रकार के मोह निवास करते हैं।
