स बाष्पपूर्णवदनो नि:श्वसन् शोकमूर्च्छित:।
मामुवाच महातेजा: कृताञ्जलिमुपस्थितम्॥ २१॥

उनके मुख से आँसुओं की धारा बह निकली और वे शोक से अचेत होकर दीर्घ निःश्वास लेने लगे। मैं उनके सामने हाथ जोड़े खड़ा था। उस समय उन महाप्रतापी मुनि ने मुझसे कहा -॥21॥
‘A stream of tears flowed down his face and he became unconscious with grief and started taking long sighs. I was standing in front of him with folded hands. At that time that great and illustrious sage said to me -॥ 21॥
