अधर्मभयभीतश्च परलोकस्य चानघ।
तेन लक्ष्मण नाद्याहमात्मानमभिषेचये॥ २६॥
अनुवाद
'भोले लक्ष्मण! मैं पाप से और परलोक के भय से भयभीत हूँ; इसीलिए आज अयोध्या का राजा पद पर अपना अभिषेक नहीं करवा रहा हूँ।'॥26॥
'Innocent Lakshmana! I am afraid of sin and the fear of the other world; that is why I am not getting myself anointed as the king of Ayodhya today.'॥ 26॥
