इयं धार्मिक कौसल्या मम माता यशस्विनी।
वृद्धा चाक्षुद्रशीला च न च त्वां देव गर्हते॥ १४॥
मया विहीनां वरद प्रपन्नां शोकसागरम्।
अदृष्टपूर्वव्यसनां भूय: सम्मन्तुमर्हसि॥ १५॥ |

| धर्मात्मान! मेरी महामाता कौशल्या अब वृद्ध हो गई हैं। उनका स्वभाव बड़ा ही उत्तम और उदार है। हे देव! वे कभी आपकी निन्दा नहीं करतीं। उन्होंने पहले कभी ऐसा महान संकट नहीं देखा होगा। हे दयालु राजा! यदि मैं यहाँ न रहूँ तो वे शोक सागर में डूब जाएँगी। अतः आपको सदैव उनका अधिक आदर करना चाहिए॥ 14-15॥ |
