न सत्यं दानमानौ वा यज्ञो वाप्याप्तदक्षिणा:।
तथा बलकरा: सीते यथा सेवा पितुर्मता॥ ३५॥
अनुवाद
सीता! पिता की सेवा कल्याण का प्रबल साधन मानी गई है। न सत्य, न दान, न आदर, न दक्षिणा सहित यज्ञ भी उसके समान है।
Sita! Serving one's father is considered to be a powerful means of achieving welfare. Neither truth, nor charity, nor respect, nor even a sacrifice with sufficient dakshina is like it.
