तत्पश्चात् अपने कुल के परम्परागत सेवक, ज्ञानी, परम बुद्धिमान, मृदु स्वभाव वाले, बुद्धिमान, तेजस्वी और श्री राम के प्रबल भक्त सुमन्त्र ने समस्त राजकुमारों के साथ श्री राम को सान्त्वना दी और उन्हें हाथ का सहारा देकर शुभ मन्दाकिनी के तट पर ले गए॥22-23॥
