‘राजन्! इन दोनों भाइयों (भरत और शत्रुघ्न) को अपनी कन्या देकर सम्पूर्ण इक्ष्वाकु वंश को अपने सम्बन्ध से बाँध लीजिए। आप पुण्यात्मा पुरुष हैं, आपके मन में यह चिन्ता न हो (अर्थात् आपको यह सोचकर चिन्ता न हो कि मैं ऐसे महान सम्राट के साथ एक ही समय में चार वैवाहिक सम्बन्ध कैसे निभा सकता हूँ।)’॥8॥
‘King! By giving away your daughter to these two brothers (Bharat and Shatrughna) you should bind the entire Ikshvaku clan with your relationship. You are a man of pious deeds; your mind should not be anxious (that is, you should not be anxious thinking how can I maintain four marital relationships with such a great emperor at the same time.)’॥ 8॥
