स कृत्वा नैष्ठिकीं बुद्धिं जेतुकामो महायशा:॥ १४॥
कौशिकीतीरमासाद्य तपस्तेपे दुरासदम्।
अनुवाद
वहाँ उन महामुनि ने अपने दृढ़ मन का आश्रय लेकर कौशिकी नदी के तट पर जाकर कामदेव को जीतने के लिए घोर तपस्या आरम्भ की ॥14 1/2॥
There, that great sage, taking the help of his determined mind, went to the banks of Kaushiki and started his formidable penance to conquer Kamadeva. 14 1/2॥
