इत्युक्त्वा च दितिस्तत्र प्राप्ते मध्यं दिनेश्वरे।

ऐसा कहकर दिति निद्रा से जाग उठीं। उस समय सूर्यदेव आकाश के मध्य में पहुँच चुके थे - मध्याह्न का समय था। देवी दिति चटाई पर बैठकर झपकी लेने लगीं। उनका सिर नीचे झुक गया और उनके केश उनके चरणों से स्पर्श करने लगे। इस प्रकार सोते-सोते उन्होंने अपने चरणों को अपने सिर से स्पर्श कर लिया॥16॥
Having said this, Diti woke up from her sleep. At that time the Sun God had reached the middle of the sky - it was afternoon. Goddess Diti started taking a nap while sitting on the mat. Her head bent down and her hair touched her feet. In this way, while sleeping, she touched her feet to her head.॥16॥
