एक हज़ार वर्ष बीत जाने पर उस क्षीर सागर से आयुर्वेद से पूर्ण एक पुण्यात्मा पुरुष प्रकट हुए, जिनके एक हाथ में दंड और दूसरे हाथ में जल का कलश था। उनका नाम धन्वंतरि था। उनके प्रकट होने के बाद सागर से अनेक सुंदर अप्सराएँ प्रकट हुईं।
‘After a thousand years had passed, a virtuous man full of Ayurveda appeared from that Ksheera Sagar, who had a staff in one hand and a water pot in the other. His name was Dhanvantari. After his appearance, many beautiful nymphs appeared from the ocean.
