तौ चापि मधुरं रक्तं स्वचित्तायतनि:स्वनम्॥ ३३॥
तन्त्रीलयवदत्यर्थं विश्रुतार्थमगायताम्।

श्रोत्राश्रयसुखं गेयं तद् बभौ जनसंसदि॥ ३४॥ |

| अनुमति पाकर दोनों भाई वीणा की ताल पर मधुर स्वर में रामायण का गायन करने लगे। उनका उच्चारण इतना स्पष्ट था कि सुनते ही उसका अर्थ समझ में आ जाता था। उनका गायन सुनकर श्रोताओं के सभी अंग आनंद से भर गए और उनके मन-प्राण में प्रसन्नता की लहरें उठने लगीं। उस जनसभा में वह गायन सभी के श्रवणेन्द्रियों को अत्यंत मधुर लग रहा था। |

| After getting the permission, both the brothers started singing the Ramayana poem in a high pitch and sweet voice, in tune with the rhythm of the Veena.
