इस शाप के कारण ताड़का का क्रोध और भी बढ़ गया। वह क्रोध से अचेत हो गई और उस सुन्दर भूमि को नष्ट करने लगी जहाँ उन दिनों अगस्त्य रहते थे॥14॥
