प्रतिज्ञापालनं धर्म: क्षत्रियस्येह वेद्म्यहम्॥ १६॥
सुयोधनस्य गदया भङ्क्तास्म्यूरू महाहवे।

| ‘मैं मानता हूँ कि इस संसार में क्षत्रिय का कर्तव्य अपनी प्रतिज्ञा का पालन करना है। प्रथम सभा में भीमसेन ने प्रतिज्ञा की थी कि ‘महायुद्ध में मैं अपनी गदा से दुर्योधन की दोनों जाँघें तोड़ दूँगा।’॥16-17॥ |
