कभी वे एक दूसरे पर जोर से झपटते, कभी अपने विरोधी को गिराने का प्रयत्न करते, कभी स्थिर खड़े रहते, कभी गिरे हुए शत्रु के उठने पर उससे युद्ध करते, कभी चारों ओर घूमकर विरोधी पर आक्रमण करते, कभी शत्रु के आगे बढ़ने को रोकते, कभी झुककर दूर हटकर विरोधी के आक्रमण को विफल करते, कभी उछलते-कूदते, कभी पास आकर गदा से आक्रमण करते और कभी पीछे मुड़कर हाथ पीछे की ओर बढ़ाकर शत्रु पर आक्रमण करते। दोनों गदायुद्ध में निपुण थे और इस प्रकार युद्धनीति बदलकर एक दूसरे पर आक्रमण करते थे॥19-20॥
