| प्राचीन काल में नैमिषारण्य में निवास करने वाले ऋषियों ने बारह वर्षों तक चलने वाला एक अधिवेशन प्रारंभ किया था। जब वह पूरा हो गया, तो विश्वजित नामक यज्ञ के समापन पर वे सभी ऋषिगण पांचाल देश में गए। वहाँ जाकर उन बुद्धिमान ऋषियों ने उस देश के राजा से दक्षिणा में धन मांगा। |

| In ancient times, the sages residing in Naimisharanya had started a session which lasted for twelve years. When it was completed, all those sages went to Panchal country at the end of a yagya called Vishwajit. Going there, those intelligent sages requested money from the king of that country for dakshina. |
