संजय बोले - राजाओं के राजा ! हे राजन ! जब युधिष्ठिर ने अपने भाइयों सहित उसे इस प्रकार फटकार लगाई, तब आपके पुत्र ने जल में खड़े होकर उन कठोर वचनों को सुनकर एक लंबी, गर्म साँस ली । राजा दुर्योधन संकट में था और जल में था; इसलिए वह बार-बार साँस ले रहा था । उसने जल के भीतर अपने दोनों हाथों को कई बार हिलाया और मन ही मन युद्ध करने का निश्चय करके राजा युधिष्ठिर से इस प्रकार कहा - ॥ 7-9॥
Sanjaya said - King of kings! O King! When Yudhishthira, along with his brothers, rebuked him in this manner, your son, standing in the water, heaved a long, hot breath on hearing those harsh words. King Duryodhan was in a difficult situation and was in the water; therefore, he kept breathing again and again. He shook both his hands many times inside the water and decided to fight in his mind and said to King Yudhishthira in this manner -॥ 7-9॥
