युद्ध के नियमों का पालन करने की इच्छा रखने वाले कुन्तीपुत्र भीमसेन ने पैदल सेना को भूमि पर खड़ा देखकर रथ पर सवार होकर युद्ध करना उचित न समझा। अपने बाहुबल पर भरोसा करके वह पैदल ही उनके साथ युद्ध करने लगा॥24 1/2॥
Kunti's son Bhimasena, who wanted to follow the rules of war, did not think it right to fight on his chariot with the infantry standing on the ground. Trusting in his physical strength, he started fighting with them on foot.॥ 24 1/2॥
