वहाँ युद्ध कर रहे क्षत्रियों के अधिकांश वाहन नष्ट हो गए थे। उनके शरीर क्षत-विक्षत हो रहे थे। बाणों से आहत होकर वे अस्पष्ट वाणी में बोले - 'आओ, हम अपनी सारी सेना को मार डालें, जिससे हम घिरे हुए हैं। ये सब पाण्डव हाथी सेना को मारकर हमारी ओर आ रहे हैं।'॥45-46॥
Most of the vehicles of the Kshatriyas who were fighting there were destroyed. Their bodies were being mutilated. Hurt by the arrows, they spoke in an unclear voice - 'Let us kill the whole army that we are surrounded with. All these Pandavas are coming towards us after killing the elephant army.'॥ 45-46॥
